Stylist

Purpose

To engage in the Practice of Cosmetology, recommend Action Steps to enhance the Client experience, and support Client expectation for the end result of Hair Design, Color & Style.  Achieve Business Goals through tracking, education, and continuous improvement.

Nature of Work
  • Protect the Public’s Health, Safety and Welfare in the Practice of Hair Styling.
  • Commit To Daylily Spa Salon’s Core Values, Including: Joyful, Diligent, Family Oriented, Innovative, Drive & Career Focused.
  • Demonstrate exceptional knowledge, skills and abilities in the Practice of Hair Styling.
  • Perform Client Consultation prior to each Service
  • Provide Product Recommendations and Service Recommendations throughout the Client experience
  • Track and monitor attainment toward Business Goals
  • Communicate with the appropriate Daylily Spa Salon Team Member(s) on a regular basis, including One-on-One AND Team Meetings
  • Participate in on-going Education to continuously improve knowledge, skills and abilities 
  • Present an appropriate Daylily Spa Salon IMAGE at all times

Requirements
  • Must hold a current, valid Cosmetology License/Certification—issued by the State Board of Cosmetology to Practice such Services.
  • Must provide and maintain the Required Equipment and Tools for the Job.
  • Treat all clients and other team members with the utmost of respect.
  • Attend salon/spa meetings.
  • Attend required continuing education

Guest Services

Purpose

To exceed the client’s expectations through extraordinary Customer Service, recommend Action Steps to enhance the Client experience, and support Client expectation for the end result of their session/s.  Achieve Performance Goals through tracking and continuous improvement.

Nature of Work
  • Commit to Daylily Spa Salon’s Core Values, including: Joyful, Diligent, Family Oriented, Innovative, Driven & Career Focused.
  • Protect the Public’s Health, Safety and Welfare by handling the Responsibilities of the Front Desk Position according to Daylily Spa Salon’s policies.
  • Demonstrate exceptional knowledge, skills and abilities by handling the Responsibilities of the Front Desk Position.
  • Provide Product Recommendations and Service Recommendations.
  • Track and monitor attainment toward Business Goals.
  • Communicate with the appropriate Daylily Spa Salon Team Member(s) on a regular basis, including One-on-One Encounters and Team Meetings.
  • Participate in on-going Education to continuously improve knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Present an appropriate Daylily Spa Salon IMAGE at all times.

Requirements
  • Must have the ability to Manage Money
  • Proficient on the computer    
  • Excellent Phone and people skills
  • Organization skills and attention to detail

  • Attend salon staff meetings
  • Attend any required classes to forward your position

Responsibilities 
  • Answer phone always using script provided
  • Greet all Guests immediately upon entering the Salon/Spa
  • Book all Guest appointments
  • Make Guest confirmation calls 24 hours in advance of their appt.
  • New customer “Thank You” postcards
  • Rescheduling No Shows
  • Learn, know and consistently use with each guest the Pre-booking system
  • Prepare bank deposits
  • Stock and pickup the restroom throughout the day
  • Offer and provide guest with beverage and magazine after greeting them
  • Stock retail products and dust shelves
  • Help keep front of the salon clean and tidy
  • Run all credit card transactions
  • Handle situations as the arise
  • Take lead when necessary
  • Wash, dry and fold towels daily or as needed
  • Uphold a professional image. All acceptable dress code can be found in the Employee Handbook.
